Astah System Safety is a modeling tool for safety critical systems that supports system architecture modeling, system security assessment, and analysis using STAMP/STPA, SysML, SCDL, and GSN.
This applies to the automotive industry with autonomous vehicle compatible with SOTIF and ISO 26262, as well as the aerospace, railway, national defense, robotics and healthcare industries (MBSE) where safety performance is critical and they are interested in adopting model-based systems engineering.

Astah System Safety's SysML support is more advanced than what "Astah SysML" provides, including functions such as merging and comparing project files, XMI import/export, and integration with Dassault Syst è mes's Cameo Systems Modeler.

STAMP / STPA
STAMP (System Theoretical Accident Model and Processes) is a system theory based accident causal relationship model developed by Professor Nancy Leveson of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. STPA (System Theoretical Process Analysis) is a technology based on STAMP. Astah System Safety provides the following charts and tables for your STPA analysis process.

SCDL
SCDL (Security Concept Description Language) is a security architecture design language defined by the Security Concept Symbol Research Group.

You can use Goal Structuring Notation and D-Case to visualize security arguments, which can be effectively used to build consensus and achieve accountability.

Why choose Astah system security?
Astah was originally created by the Japanese company ChangeVision in 2006 as a UML modeling tool. The software has evolved to include six different tools, each aimed at meeting different mapping needs by absorbing user feedback over 15 years. Astah System Safety is our latest product proudly launched for safety critical systems.
Astah combines STPA and SysML by enabling model transformation, which helps you build STPA analysis by directly using SysML blocks to create components, etc. By processing the same model in the project, consistency will be maintained and everything can be easily tracked throughout the entire analysis process.
Support XMI import/export of SysML models, which enables you to load data from Cameo Systems Modeler. You can also add OMG XMI 2.5 format configuration files.
