• Convert duplicate geometry to block definition

Blockify automatically creates block definitions and replaces all matching entity sets with block references throughout the entire drawing. By using Blockify to find duplicate geometry and convert it into a block reference, the size of a DWG file can be reduced by up to 90%.

• Quad: Drawing, editing, and information near the cursor

THCAD's unique Quad is a "head up" command palette that predicts your command usage and provides one click access to the commands you are likely to need next. It is supported by AI agents who make these command predictions based on the way you use THCAD.

• Automatically align copied entities

CopyGuided uses an automatically generated guide curve to automatically align the copied entity with the relevant geometry. You can explicitly select the entities to use as guide curves, or determine them based on the selected graphic elements.

• Closest distance

View the distance between any two entities and move the second entity by simply entering a new distance value. This situation does not require a command to be initiated. In addition, when you double-click an element in the drawing, the closest distance aligned along the X, Y, and Z axes of WCS will be displayed.

• Adaptive Mesh Snap

Dynamically capturing the grid will change to reflect your zoom level. The adaptive mesh capture feature allows you to create, edit, fine tune, and manipulate entities using precise values without the need for keyboard input. The capture step size will be adjusted based on the current screen scaling factor.

• The function of the Shift key

Using Dynamic UCS, the coordinate system automatically aligns with the entity below the cursor. By clicking the Shift key, you can lock or unlock the UCS, allowing you to start drawing outside the selected solid or face. Improve the productivity of 2D engineering drawings by temporarily aligning the UCS with selected entities of 3D and 2D entities.

• Structural panel

The structural panel allows you to have a bird's-eye view of the entities that make up the shape. You can select entities by category and perform operations on them. You can display or hide entities, isolate them, or directly scale them.

• Rectangle and polar grid

Rectangular and polar grids provide adaptive step size and dynamic origin placement to accelerate graphic creation speed. By illuminating touch points on the screen, the geometric relationships between entities, such as tangency and perpendicularity, are graphically displayed.

• Manipulator

A manipulator is a multifunctional tool that allows you to move, rotate, scale, and mirror selected entities. If you hold down the control keys at the beginning of the operation, the manipulator will retain the original entities and automatically create copies of them. Manipulators can act on single or multiple entities at once.

• PDF and large TIFF underlay

We use a multi resolution, persistent image cache to display PDF underlays, enabling ultra fast zoom and pan operations. The raster engine can provide excellent translation and scaling performance even with huge 64 bit BigTIFF files.

• Automation parameters

THCAD's AI can quickly add parametric intelligence to clumsy entities. This is the fastest way to create an intelligent table driven part series.

• Parameter blocks: dynamic methods for creating 2D blocks

Parameter blocks automatically perform repetitive tasks by allowing users to create a block instead of many similar, separate block definitions. You can use the same set of familiar tools and workflows to create 2D and 3D block definitions.

With the help of the new library panel, you can manage all parameter blocks across different files and projects.
