License Differences

The virtual display manager provides two different licenses. CL - Console License and MUL - Multi User License.

The CL license is perfect for most users:

For desktops on Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012/2012R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022 operating systems.
Allow console access through RDS sessions with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012/2012R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022
Supports direct console connection and remote sessions through RDS, ICA/HDX, Blast/PCoIP, and VNC.
The license is issued by the computer name and there is no limit to the number of users.

The MUL license is a cost-effective alternative to multi user systems:

Multi user deployment for Windows RDS Hosing (formerly Terminal Services) and Citrix XenApp.
In addition to console access through RDS, ICA/HDX, Blast/PCoIP, and VNC also support non console sessions.
The license is issued by the computer name and there is no limit to the number of users.
