Main features (paid version)
Can help you efficiently manage passwords for compressed files
Analyze damaged ZIP compression files and repair them as much as possible
Using brute force cracking to recover the password of compressed files (We cannot guarantee that the password recovery function can successfully recover the password of compressed files. This depends on the algorithm capability of your computer's CPU and hardware configuration, as well as the complexity of the original password. As an agent, we cannot guarantee that the password will be successfully recovered after purchase. Please note.)

To understand solid compression, it is first necessary to understand how common ZIP format compression works.
Common compression methods for compressed file formats (ZIP, LZH, ARJ...)
The following figure shows the structure of ZIP format; ZIP and other formats that do not support solid compression treat all files to be compressed as separate files.
Image from Wikipedia
For example, compressing the files file1.txt, file2.txt, and file3.txt in file. zip will compress each original file separately in file. zip, as shown below.
Solid compression
On the other hand, solid compression is a method of processing multiple files as a unit. If there is similarity between files, processing these files as a unit will result in a higher compression ratio.
7Z and RAR formats support both solid and non solid compression. TGZ(tar.gz)、TBZ(tar.bz2), TXZ (tar. xz) is a type used in conjunction with other compression methods in the TAR format, and they are also considered as solid compression formats.
Disadvantages of solid compression
Although solid compression has the advantage of high compression ratio, it also has its disadvantages. When multiple files are compressed into a solid block, the solid block is a unit and files located in the middle of the block cannot be immediately decompressed.
As shown in the following case, file2.txt is a very small file. However, to decompress file2.txt, you need to first decompress file1.txt located at the beginning of the block, and then decompress file2.txt.
Compression with multiple solid blocks
In order to improve the low accessibility of compressed files within a single solid block, 7Z and RAR formats support compression of multiple solid blocks.
If the user specifies the size of the solid block, the file will be processed into multiple solid blocks of the specified size. Through this method, high compression ratio and accessible compressed files can be achieved simultaneously.
The specified solid block sizes for the 7Z format supported by Bandizip are as follows.
